I used the rule of thirds when framing this picture so that the dragonfly was in an interesting spot. The camera was on macro mode to capture the detail of the dragonfly. The dragonfly is the focal point, so I made sure to focus on it and make the background blurry. The lighting was natural and the flash was deactivated. I liked how the green made the brown stand out so the dragonfly was noticeable. The dragonfly has many lines drawing the eyes all over the photo. This picture was taken in the Boreal Shield biome and the Nearctic ecozone. If I could change something about my photo I would make the background not have bits of brown and light because it is distracting from the main focal point.
