I took this photo because I think monarchs are really pretty. The butterfly stands out because it is bright orange and the background is green and brown. I wanted to get a really close picture so I used the macro setting. I wanted to be able to see the tiny white dots and the antennae. The sun was shining, so you can see it really well.

This butterfly will be going to a warmer place soon. If it didn’t he would get really cold and die. This is called migration.

I wish the grass across the butterfly wasn’t there because it is in the way.
