The Ontario 150 Bondar Challenge

The Ontario 150 Bondar Challenge is being launched for Ontarians in each community being visited by Dr. Bondar on an inspirational speaking tour called “Earth Matters” from April to September in 2017. Kicking off on April 25, residents of all ages in northern communities from Sault Ste. Marie, North Bay, and Timmins, to Kenora, Thunder Bay, Sudbury and Manitoulin Island can join her in demonstrating the importance of their natural world.

It is your opportunity to express through photography what you admire and value in the natural world of your community that you hope will exist 150 years from now. This challenge is open to all groups, individuals and ages in your community.

You can take the challenge in 3 easy steps:
1. SNAP a well composed photograph of what is special to you
2. DESCRIBE in 2-3 sentences why this is your choice
3. SUBMIT your entry (photo and description)

The first 150 participants to send a complete entry (photo, brief description, name, city) in each community will receive a commemorative gift that can be picked up locally. Participants will be notified by email within a couple of weeks of their entry if they are the recipients of the gift. Please do not contact us to inquire if you have received the gift.

The Ontario 150 Bondar Challenge is presented in partnership with Science North and is supported by the Ontario government’s Ontario 150 program.
